which it appears clear that he aid not enter the service of

the Colony after 31 December 1800. The original ground of Kr

Ng's contributing to the Widows' and Orphans' Pension Fund

was that he helo un office mentioned in Schectie A of Ura, 30

of 1890: and the cause of his retirement on pension was the

abolition of that office. The office in respect of which he

contributed having been abolished, it follows that he is not

liable to contribute by reason of holding any office men-

tioned in such scheatle. In the result therefore I am of

opinion that he is not now liable to contribute.
